This module aims to equip food handlers with the knowledge and application skills on food safety and hygiene while handling, cooking, storing, and serving food and be certified food handlers, competent to work in the F&B industry in Singapore as per Singapore Food Agency (SFA)’s requirements.
Upon completion, trainees will have the knowledge and skills in Food Safety Level 1 be able to apply them at the workplace. These include:
- Practicing good personal hygiene
- Using safe ingredients
- Handling food safely
- Storing food safely
- Maintaining cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and service/storage areas
